This role involves developing and sustaining partnerships with Public Children Services Agencies (PCSAs) to meet workforce training needs. The coordinator will recruit, train, and support UPP field instructors, and consult with PCSAs to prepare agencies for student placements and graduate transitions into employment. The effectiveness of field placements will be regularly evaluated. The role also includes administering student contracts with the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), authorizing stipend payments, supporting post-graduation job placement, and participating in the State of Ohio UPP Management Team. Additionally, the coordinator will serve as the faculty liaison for students in UPP field placements and provide instruction using the standardized child welfare curriculum aligned with the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program CORE Training 2.0, specifically SOWK 451/657: Child Welfare I & SOWK 472/658: Child Welfare II.
