About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is seeking a motivated University Admissions Counselor to oversee the Phoenix, AZ territory in a unique remote (work from home in Phoenix, AZ) opportunity. This role involves helping prospective students and their families navigate the admissions process for Grand Canyon University's Traditional Ground Campus. The position offers a starting salary of $58,656 per year with a tenure-based compensation plan that allows for increased earning potential annually. Requirements

  • Must live in or near Phoenix, AZ.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report. If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Outstanding time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize competing priorities even while travelling.
  • Clear communication and engaging presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly to any audience.
  • Comfortable communicating in person, in writing, and on the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Host and implement event/activity plans for your territory to build awareness of academic programs and campus community, and drive inquiry generation.
  • Provide exceptional counseling to prospective students and their families through various mediums (in-person, phone, email, text, Zoom).
  • Champion the GCE mission, promoting Grand Canyon University student success and institutional growth.
  • Connect with community college students, faculty, and staff in your territory.
  • Engage all major stakeholders in your territory.
  • Maintain a full schedule including fairs, school visits, presentations, community/campus events, and hosting campus visits.
  • Support prospective Grand Canyon University campus students and families through the admissions process.
  • Guide students toward the right path for a successful campus experience.
  • Travel extensively within your territory for events and visits.
  • Travel to Phoenix 1-3 times per month if residing outside of Phoenix.
