About The Position
Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island is currently hiring for a PRN (As Needed) Universal Worker II (Medication Aide (MA)). The requirement for this position is 24 hours a month with 16 of those hours on a weekend. 1 holiday rotation a year Tabitha is now Eventide. Learn more here: https://eventide.org/tabitha/ The CNA assists in providing for the residents’ physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs in accordance with the established nursing care procedures under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the supervisor in charge.
Requirements
- At least age 18.
- CNA Required
- MA40 Required
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
- Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
- Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
- Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
- Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
- Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
