About The Position

NBCUniversal is a leading media and entertainment company that creates and distributes world-class content across film, television, and streaming, and brings it to life through global theme park destinations, consumer products, and experiences. As an NBCUniversal Academic Year intern, you will work on real projects, be part of a collaborative culture, and receive the support needed to grow across two full semesters. The Internship Program focuses on impact, offering the chance to contribute to meaningful work while building essential skills. This program is designed for curious, driven individuals excited about media, entertainment, and technology, providing an environment for daily learning and growth. The internships are paid and include paid time off for mental health, academic exams, and personal holidays, robust networking and professional development opportunities, a complimentary Peacock subscription, free admission to Universal Parks, and access to mental health resources. The program runs from September 21, 2026, to April 23, 2027, requiring a commitment of 16-24 hours per week, with schedules determined by business needs and efforts to accommodate course schedules. Opportunities are based in Universal City, CA. Universal Television Entertainment is responsible for world-class television entertainment, programming and marketing content across Bravo, NBC, and Peacock, and producing over 3,000 hours of television annually through Universal Studio Group.

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2026 through April 2027).
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future.
  • Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 21, 2026 – April 23, 2027.
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
  • Must have an active Social Security number.
  • Must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Interest in typography, branding and layout, publicity and/or marketing preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), AVID, DAM systems a plus.
  • Passion for entertainment and pop culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and design static print materials using a wide variety of media.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Team, including Creative Director, Designers, Copy Writers, and Production Artists.
