About The Position

The Universal Head Teller is the heartbeat of the branch's daily operations. This high-energy leader will supervise the teller line, ensuring every member is greeted with a smile and every cent is accounted for. This role involves mentoring peers, managing branch-wide cash assets, and ensuring a secure, efficient environment. The Universal Head Teller is the bridge between branch management and frontline service. By coordinating schedules, supervising complex processes like wire transfers, and managing the branch vault and ATM, this role ensures the branch runs smoothly and securely. Leadership in coaching tellers and maintaining strict regulatory compliance protects the credit union's integrity while providing a "best-in-class" experience for our members.

Requirements

At least six months of cashier/money handling experience is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong decision-making abilities and the administrative judgment to manage staff confidentiality and performance documentation.
Must be bondable and detail-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership experience in a financial setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate scheduling and daily duties for the teller team, setting a professional example and handling performance evaluations and coaching.
Maintain total accountability for the branch vault, ATM, and cash recyclers-managing the ordering, receiving, and disbursement of cash supplies.
Help members open accounts, manage direct deposits, handle stop payments, and resolve basic bookkeeping questions.
Supervise the wire transfer process and assist with card services tasks to ensure fast and accurate member support.
Actively cross-sell credit union products and introduce members to new financial solutions that meet their needs.
Ensure the highest level of security on the teller line, maintaining records in accordance with all industry regulations and internal policies.
