About The Position

The Universal Banker position involves providing timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of all monies. The role requires delivering superior quality service, identifying and understanding client financial needs, and being cross-trained to support sales and service activities, with a focus on assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week, with Saturday work being mandatory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, and conducting complex and standardized transactions while uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team's sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to seamlessly deliver expertise and solutions for clients' needs.
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training classes.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
  • Handle proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
