About The Position

The Universal Banker responds to customer needs by processing routine banking transactions at the teller window or on the platform under minimal supervision, while providing flexible branch coverage. The role engages in a broad range of sales and service activities to deliver a superior customer experience. It includes opening new accounts, handling teller transactions, marketing and cross-selling bank products and services, resolving complex customer service issues, identifying additional sales and service opportunities, building customer relationships, and referring customers to other banking services and personnel as appropriate. Other duties may be assigned.

Branch Delivery is responsible for providing high-quality, consistent client experiences across branch locations while maintaining operational excellence and adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools gained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. It typically involves limited supervision for routine situations, assisting and training lower-level employees, and analyzing problems that are not routine.

The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds. The teammate must possess or be able to obtain an NMLS registration.

Responsibilities

• Process routine banking transactions at the teller window or on the platform.
• Provide flexible coverage for the branch.
• Open new accounts and handle teller transactions.
• Market and cross-sell bank products and services.
• Resolve complex customer service issues.
• Identify additional sales and service opportunities using banking knowledge.
• Build rapport with prospects to establish banking relationships and enhance existing customer relationships.
• Refer customers to other banking services and bank personnel as appropriate.
• Assist and train lower-level employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
