About The Position

The Universal Banker processes routine banking transactions at the teller window or on the platform under minimal supervision and provides flexible coverage for the branch. The role includes a broad range of sales and service activities to deliver a high level of customer service. The position requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools, typically gained through extensive work experience and possibly vocational or technical education. Routine situations are handled with limited supervision; the role also assists and trains lower-level employees and addresses non-routine problems requiring analysis. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift objects up to 30 pounds, as well as possession of or ability to obtain an NMLS registration.

Responsibilities

• Process routine banking transactions at the teller window or on the platform.
• Provide flexible coverage for the branch.
• Open new accounts and handle teller transactions.
• Market and cross-sell bank products and services.
• Resolve complex customer service issues.
• Use banking knowledge to identify additional sales and service opportunities.
• Build rapport with prospects to establish banking relationships and strengthen existing customer relationships.
• Refer customers to other banking services and bank personnel as appropriate.
• Assist and train lower-level employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
