About The Position

The Part Time Universal Banker position is a regular, 20-hour per week role with a 1st shift work schedule. The primary responsibilities include completing client transactions accurately and efficiently, providing superior customer service, and identifying client financial needs. This role also involves supporting sales and service activities, with a focus on outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM). The Universal Banker will educate clients on digital banking solutions, participate in team sales processes through outbound calls, and understand the importance of IRM to deliver Truist expertise. Additionally, the role requires participation in leadership routines, continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls and policies, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution. The position handles a proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions including ATMs, Online and Mobile banking.
  • Support team sales process by participating in client outreach through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to ensure seamless delivery of Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings and all applicable training classes and web-based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services to clients and prospects.
