About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a part-time role (20 hours per week) focused on providing excellent client service and efficient transaction completion. This role involves handling various client transactions, educating them on digital banking solutions, and supporting sales activities through outbound calls and identifying client needs. The position also emphasizes understanding Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and participating in leadership routines and training to enhance product knowledge and client service. Adherence to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies is crucial. The Universal Banker also serves as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying/fulfilling client needs or referring them to specialists.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy changes.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
  • Handle a proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
