About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a regular, full-time role requiring English fluency and a 1st shift work schedule. This role focuses on providing excellent client service through efficient transaction completion, accurate record-keeping, and proper money handling. The position also involves identifying client financial needs, cross-training in sales and service activities, assisting with outbound calling, and supporting Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The goal is to deliver a distinctive client experience and seamlessly offer Truist expertise and solutions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying needs or opportunities.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of changes.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
