About The Position

The Universal Banker PT/20HR position is a regular, full-time role requiring English fluency and a 1st shift work schedule. This role involves providing timely and efficient client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper handling of monies. The position emphasizes delivering superior client service, identifying and understanding client financial needs, and supporting sales and service activities, including outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM). The Universal Banker will also educate clients on digital self-service solutions and participate in team sales processes and leadership routines. A commitment to continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education
Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
Ability to multi-task under time constraints
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

One year of client relationship building or sales experience
Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering needs.
Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online, Mobile banking).
Support team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying/referring client needs.
Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles.
Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through training and meetings.
Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
