About The Position

The Universal Banker is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with sales, products, and service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The role aims to foster customer relationships, build loyalty, and help increase sales to individual consumer clients.

The position is part-time, based at the White Plains branch in New York, and is listed as 20 hours. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous retail banking or similar experience is required.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service to internal and external customers to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
• Support branch sales and service activities by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives.
• Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures, to protect customer and bank assets.
• Assess risk in business decisions, consider the firm's reputation and the safeguarding of Citi, client, and bank assets, comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, apply sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
