About The Position

This part-time Universal Banker position, requiring 20 hours per week, focuses on providing timely and efficient client transactions while maintaining accurate records and proper money handling. The role emphasizes delivering superior client service, identifying and understanding client financial needs, and supporting sales and service activities, particularly with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM). The position involves educating clients on digital self-service solutions, participating in team sales processes through outbound calls, and understanding the importance of IRM to deliver Truist expertise. Additionally, the role requires participation in leadership routines, continuous learning of products and services, adherence to internal controls and risk management policies, and serving as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, identifying needs, and referring clients to appropriate specialists.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to seamlessly deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy changes.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
