About The Position

The Part Time Universal Banker position is a regular, 20-hour per week role requiring English fluency. The primary responsibilities include completing client transactions accurately and efficiently, providing superior customer service, identifying client financial needs, and supporting sales and service activities. This includes assisting with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The role involves educating clients on digital banking solutions, participating in team sales processes through outbound calls, understanding IRM to deliver Truist expertise, and adhering to established leadership routines. Continuous learning of products and services is expected, along with strict adherence to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies. The Universal Banker also serves as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
  • Support the team sales process through client outreach via outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
  • Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to seamlessly deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, and applicable training classes and web-based learning.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of all changes in policies and procedures.
  • Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services to clients and prospects.
  • Handle proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
