About The Position

The Universal Banker position is a part-time role requiring 20 hours per week, with Saturday shifts being mandatory. This role involves completing client transactions accurately and efficiently, providing superior customer service, and identifying client financial needs. The position also supports sales activities, including outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM). The Universal Banker will educate clients on digital banking solutions, participate in team sales processes, and adhere to operational procedures and risk management policies. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education
Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
Ability to multi-task under time constraints
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

One year of client relationship building or sales experience
Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking client offers, and identifying needs or opportunities.
Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings and training.
Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
