About The Position

The Universal Banker PT position is a regular, part-time role (20 hours per week) requiring English fluency and a 1st shift work schedule. This role focuses on providing excellent client service by efficiently completing transactions, identifying client needs, and supporting sales activities. The Universal Banker will also assist with outbound calling and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) tasks, educating clients on digital banking solutions, and adhering to operational procedures and risk management policies. They will also serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
  • Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
  • Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
  • Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included

Nice To Haves

  • One year of client relationship building or sales experience
  • Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
  • General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, conducting transactions, and uncovering needs.
  • Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online, Mobile banking).
  • Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying/fulfilling client needs or referring them to specialists.
  • Understand and apply Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
  • Participate in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  • Commit to advancing individual and product knowledge through meetings and training.
  • Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.
  • Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
