Universal Banker II (Sat Required) - Southern Central Area
About The Position
The Universal Banker II position is a regular, full-time role requiring English fluency and involves working the 1st shift, with Saturday work being mandatory. This role focuses on providing exceptional client service through efficient transaction completion, accurate record-keeping, and proper money handling. The position also emphasizes identifying and understanding client financial needs, cross-training in sales and service activities, assisting with outbound calling, and supporting Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) activities. The goal is to deliver a distinctive client experience, educate clients on digital solutions, and support the team's sales process by identifying client needs and referring them to appropriate specialists.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience
- Six months of client relationship building or sales experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects
- Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes
- Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included
Nice To Haves
- One year of client relationship building or sales experience
- Knowledge of advanced or complex branch transactions, risk management and loss prevention
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
- General understanding of bank operations, policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients, facilitating courteous conversation, conducting complex and standardized transactions, and uncovering client needs.
- Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions like ATMs, Online, and Mobile banking.
- Support the team sales process through outbound calls, checking for client offers, and identifying client needs or opportunities.
- Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to seamlessly deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
- Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Advance individual and product knowledge by attending sales, service, and product knowledge meetings, training classes, and web-based learning.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy and procedure changes.
- Serve as a secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, offering applicable products and services.
- Handle a proportionate volume of work based on branch demands.
