About The Position

This position is for a Universal Associate II (New Accounts/Teller) at First Citizens Community Bank (FCCB). The role involves providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and assessing customer financial needs to suggest appropriate bank services and products. The Universal Associate II is responsible for opening and maintaining deposit accounts for consumers and businesses, managing IRA/SEP files, processing deceased and estate accounts, and performing various operational duties. The role requires adherence to banking regulations and procedures, strong analytical and decision-making skills, and constructive interaction with colleagues. This position averages approximately 38-40 hours per week and includes regular Saturday morning work on a rotating basis.

Requirements

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
  • Ability to quickly learn position-related software.
  • Ability to effectively use general office equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and courteous customer service.
  • Process customer transactions in a professional, accurate, and efficient manner.
  • Exemplify FCCB’s standard of delivering exceptional customer service every time.
  • Assess customer's financial needs and suggest Bank services and products.
  • Actively participate in and promote the Bank’s sales culture and referral programs.
  • Maintain daily transactions and balances, research outages, and balance the drawer in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Follow proper procedures and complete tasks in compliance with banking regulations.
  • Identify customer needs and develop solutions to exceed customer goals and expectations.
  • Constructively interact with co-workers.
  • Process transactions and handles cash, vault, ATM responsibilities, etc.
  • Open and maintain deposit accounts for consumers and businesses.
  • Complete all necessary maintenance on customer accounts.
  • Responsible for maintaining IRA/SEP files.
  • Perform a variety of operational duties and data input functions.
  • Process deceased and estate accounts.
  • Understand a variety of operational procedures.
