About The Position

Rosecrance is seeking a dedicated Unit Technician to join their team, working overnight shifts in a residential treatment program. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on helping individuals achieve recovery from substance use and mental health challenges through compassionate care and evidence-based therapies. The position involves supervising and managing client behavior, ensuring client safety and well-being, maintaining client records, and performing general cleaning and inventory duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to navigate and document in electronic systems required.
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames
  • Skilled in behavioral management techniques

Responsibilities

  • Work scheduled hours and be available to work additional hours when necessary. Overtime may be required.
  • Supervise and manage the behavior of the clients and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
  • Perform bed checks at varying intervals as prescribed, to ensure the clients comfort, safety and well-being. Complete concurrent documentation of the completion of these checks.
  • Read all charts and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shift, utilize during the night shift and relay to morning staff, if appropriate.
  • Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with required licensing rules and regulations.
  • General cleaning duties as required.
  • Inventory incoming clothing and supplies of clients for quantity and specifically check for contraband items. Inventory outgoing clothing and supplies of clients.
  • Oversee the neatness of the unit and the proper use of the equipment and supplies and inform the proper person when supplies or repairs are indicated.
  • Serve as a member of the residential team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
