About The Position

Rosecrance is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Unit Techs, contributing to their mission of hope and recovery in behavioral health services. The Unit Tech will directly supervise addicted clients during the night shift, ensuring continuity of program services in a safe, therapeutic, ethical, and legal environment. This role involves participating as a team member in delivering addictions treatment services, helping clients integrate recovery into their daily lives, and providing a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid within the first 9 months of hire.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• One year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Skilled in behavioral management techniques
• Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents and community resources
• A desire to make a difference in people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the behavior of clients and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
• Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities.
• Monitor assigned clients by consulting with the primary counselor in developing and implementing the individual treatment plan and scheduling individual sessions to assist the patients with AA step work and treatment plan objectives.
• Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with required rules and regulations.
• Develop and present all patient lectures listed on the client’s lecture schedule.
• Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics.
• Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
• Consult with the members of the treatment team and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift.
• Read all logs and obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shifts, counselors, teachers, etc.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
