This role is responsible for ensuring direct reports and unit equipment comply with regulations, safety protocols, and quality procedures. The supervisor will participate in monthly/quarterly inventories, internal and external audits, production planning, production meetings, and the submission of production reports. Responsibilities include completing paperwork for loads and materials, supervising a crew of three or more, scheduling employee coverage and overtime with management approval, and communicating regularly with the Operations Coordinator regarding unit scheduling needs. The supervisor determines and communicates daily assignments by analyzing employee availability, strengths, and company goals, and ensures effective written and oral communication among team members. They also ensure all employees are properly cross-trained and participate in daily communication with the Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth and safe unit operation. Promoting safe work habits through observation, training, and enforcement of regulations, and immediately reporting safety and compliance issues are key. The role requires compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and ensuring all unit areas are compliant. The supervisor will observe and assist with chemical reactions, monitor gauges and signals, and make operating adjustments based on notifications. They will receive raw materials, assist with quality confirmation and inventory, and oversee the loading and unloading of trucks and other transport methods. When needed, they will load finished products for customer transport. The supervisor will pull retain samples, maintain logs, and may perform chemical tests. They will attend safety and quality meetings, perform all duties safely, and complete all required training. Equipment maintenance, including forklifts and drum handling equipment, is also a responsibility. Other duties as assigned by Management.
