Job Summary: The Production Jr. Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of analysts and technicians to ensure that production standards are consistently met. This role involves coordinating daily production activities, conducting audits and inspections, and providing guidance and support to team members. The Jr. Supervisor works closely with the Production Supervisor and other department leaders to develop and implement production improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, addressing nonconformance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems.
  • Ability to develop and implement inventory optimization strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of international trade laws and customs regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track inventory levels
  • Order supplies and materials as needed
  • Implement systems to optimize inventory management
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
  • Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety training for production team members
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Conduct safety inspections and address any safety concerns or hazards
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and skill development
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to align processes and achieve goals
  • Supervisors should model the behavior they expect from their team. This includes demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to the organization’s values.
