This position classification is Hybrid, meaning job duties and expectations allow for onsite and remote work scheduled every week. Employees in this classification are regularly scheduled onsite one (1) to four (4) days per week based on the County needs and as determined by Department Director. Hybrid classified roles can be onsite more than the set minimum based on employee preference. At Adams County, we value workplace flexibility. This role offers both hybrid-remote working arrangements as well as flexible scheduling options after initial training period of 90 days. This position will supervise a combination of both Assessment or Permanency duties depending on the need of the agency. Supervisors may oversee cases involving reports or evidence of domestic violence, neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and other child welfare or family safety concerns. Through their leadership and case consultation responsibilities, supervisors provide guidance and oversight to social caseworkers who serve a wide range of age groups, including infants, toddlers, elementary-aged children, pre-adolescents, adolescents, and young adults. Cases under their supervision may involve individuals from birth through age 21. Supervisors are responsible for managing and monitoring a diverse caseload across their team, ensuring appropriate case assignment, oversight, and support. The composition of cases within the unit may fluctuate over time, with higher or lower concentrations of specific case types or discipline areas based on the needs of the community and agency priorities. This position currently oversees caseworkers who primarily take sex abuse cases.
