Requirements

• Bachelor of Social Work / Child Welfare / Counseling / Psychology / Child Psychology / Family Studies or Sociology.
• Experience working with families in social services context
• Valid driver's license with properly registered and insured vehicle
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the movement of children through the permanency process
• Facilitate child placements and avoid placement disruptions; provide crisis management and supportive counseling to resource parents
• Recruit adoptive homes for special needs children, with an emphasis on recruiting minorities
• Conduct adoptive home studies and prepare Family and Child Profiles
• Attend court for all adoption and finalization hearings, provide post-adoption referrals and provide post-placement and post-legalization services to adoptive families
