About The Position

The Pines at Catskill, a Certified Great Place to Work and affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is seeking a Full Time Unit Secretary for their DAY SHIFT ONLY. This role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, and supporting the health, comfort, and overall well-being of residents. The Unit Secretary will maintain an organized environment on the nursing unit and collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth operations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
May require experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and in specific functional areas in a long-term care setting
Compassionate and empathetic nature
Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in office software and basic computer skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) credential is a plus
Additional certification or coursework in office administration is a plus

Responsibilities

Greeting and assisting visitors, residents, and staff in person and over the phone
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence and documentation
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident records and charts
Scheduling appointments and arranging meetings
Assisting with data entry, filing, and maintaining inventory of office supplies
Collaborating with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth operations
Provide administrative support to the nursing staff
