About The Position

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between Select Medical and Vibra, is seeking a Unit Secretary for their inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This role is crucial in providing exceptional and compassionate care to patients facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The hospital is committed to best addressing these challenges through comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Requirements

• Proficient computer skills required

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1 year of clerical experience in a medical setting
• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical functions for the nursing unit, including record keeping, maintenance of logs and chart organization.
• Notifies the nursing staff and/or nurse manager in a timely manner of pertinent patient information, including physician orders, laboratory or test results, and communication from other departments.
