About The Position
Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Full Time Day Shift Unit Secretary Clerk to join their team at Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus. This is a 40-bed Critical Care Hospital located in Taylor, MI, providing acute care services for patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. The hospital specializes in services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly environment where staff can build strong relationships with patients and their families.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a unit secretary course or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year experience in a medical clerical field preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for directing the orderly flow of unit and patient related data.
- Responsible for communications through the answering and initiation of telephone calls, written messages, and the organization and completion of the various charts, requisitions, reports and other forms.
