About The Position

The Unit Secretary/ Certified Nursing Assistant is a member of the nursing team who contributes to the comfort and well-being of the patients and works under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Performs specifically assigned patient care tasks, performs clerical duties such as answering the patient call lights and phone, and entering physician orders into the computer. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in the state of Florida
  • American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
  • Unit Secretary Experience required
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s)
  • BLS from AHA
