About The Position

Sodexo Magic is seeking a Unit Food Safety Manager to support a pharmaceutical client across multiple locations. This resource role is responsible for overseeing food safety programs across 7 sites, ensuring consistent compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards. You will serve as a subject matter expert, partnering with site teams to drive best practices in food handling, storage, temperature control, and sanitation. This position requires regular site visits, audits, and hands-on support to identify risks and implement corrective actions. A key focus of the role is not only enforcing standards, but also educating teams on the “why” behind food safety practices to build a strong culture of accountability. This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication, training, and auditing expertise. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in food safety, food science, hospitality, or related field
  • Proven experience in food safety management across multiple locations or large-scale operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and audit processes
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
  • Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to influence and educate teams
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 1 year of related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish-speaking skills strongly preferred, with the ability to effectively communicate and train diverse teams across multiple locations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine site visits across 7 locations to audit food safety practices and ensure compliance with standards
  • Oversee food safety processes including temperature control, storage, sanitation, cooling/holding procedures, and quality control
  • Perform risk assessments and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across all sites
  • Lead monthly and annual food safety audits, ensuring readiness and compliance at all times
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate teams on food safety standards and the “why” behind them
  • Partner with site leadership to implement corrective actions and strengthen overall food safety culture
