About The Position

This position performs a wide variety of business and operations tasks including gathering, processing, and tracking new client information for intake, treatment, and discharge. This position will facilitate the verification of Medi-cal eligibility as required and open new client records in EMR and IBHIS as assigned. This position will also assure that all aspects of the record are in keeping with agency policy and DMH requirements. Activities performed can be time-sensitive with expectations of frequent reporting of progress along with thorough oversight for accuracy. Regular interaction with all staff members, physicians, and outside agencies is expected. This position has responsibility for gathering and analyzing agency data and assisting in the agency’s quality control, quality assurance, and quality improvement efforts. In addition, the Unit & Quality Assurance Clerk’s duties will include but are not limited to ensuring that the chart order is maintained, entering data into the L.A. County data collection sites, and other quality improvement tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year unit clerk or clerical experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Billing experience
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Bilingual Spanish-English speaking ability is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality assurance experience within the social services field, or related experiences in dealing with QA/TQM concepts and procedures preferred.
