About The Position

As a Unit Plant Manager for O-I, you will manage the total operation of the production lines of an assigned furnace on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the line management system and continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters. The Unit Plant Manager will drive the plant furnace to achieve key performance goals (Safety, Quality, Total Best Cost, Productivity, and Flexibility) and promote a Manufacturing Excellence culture that encourages continuous improvement. This role involves conducting production meetings, sponsoring morning TPC meetings, leading and managing projects, and successfully meeting plant KPIs.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE GLASS PLANT MANUFACTURING MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
  • Proven management and continuous improvement skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and support employee engagement.
  • Coaching & mentoring skills and the ability to handle personnel issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Adequate knowledge of informational systems & ability to analyze data.
  • Experience working in the Glass Manufacturing Industry.
  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising/leading people and processes in manufacturing.
  • Glass industry experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Production or Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines.
