About The Position

Teknor Apex, founded in 1924, is an international custom compounder with operations in nine U.S. locations and globally in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China. The company remains privately held and focuses on fostering deep employee and customer relationships to deliver customized compound solutions. This role is for a full-time Unit Operator in Color Production, working on-site. Timely and regular attendance is crucial due to the team-based batch manufacturing approach, which requires continuous manning for worker safety. Mandatory overtime may be required, including evening, night, or weekend rotations, depending on business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate in a self-directed environment and complete tasks on time and thoroughly as assigned.
• Ability to demonstrate operational decision as required, maintaining production levels.
• Ability to read and write.
• Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to work at Teknor Apex.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain established quality standards per production requirements.
• Maintain maximum line speeds and productivity of all machines assigned.
• Demonstrate ability to identify production issues and troubleshoot, as appropriate.
• Complete all required production records accurately and completely.
• Maintain housekeeping and lean manufacturing standards.
• Identify quality issues, attain established productivity standards, and maintain accurate daily production records.
• Understand and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform related responsibilities as required or directed.
