About The Position

Contributes to the agency’s public safety mission by serving as the manager of one or more housing units at a major correctional center. Collaborates with security, treatment, maintenance and support staff to ensure inmates receive effective reentry programming and services based on evidence-based principles (EBP) and practices. Oversees inmate classification, discipline, programs and services, security operations, audit compliance documentation, and building maintenance and sanitation for assigned unit(s). Supervises Lieutenants and Casework Counselors.

Requirements

  • Extensive working knowledge of prison operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver reports and presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective operational decisions.
