Unit Manager (RN)
About The Position
As an RN Unit Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the nursing staff within a dedicated unit. Your role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of quality care, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the health, comfort, and overall well-being of our residents. The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of a 25-bed skilled nursing unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and positive clinical outcomes. This position serves as a key leader, collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Valid state RN nursing license
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
- Strong clinical, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Advanced degree or certification preferred
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a Long-Term Care setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of nurses and support staff within the unit
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring individualized resident care
