About The Position

NHC HealthCare Oakwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Weekend Unit Manager, RN. This full-time leadership role works every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and provides clinical leadership for an assigned nursing unit while supporting nursing partners and helping ensure high-quality, coordinated care for patients and residents throughout the weekend.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where NHC HealthCare Oakwood is located, or a current multistate/compact license that permits practice in that state.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work the required Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule.

Nice To Haves

Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or nursing leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned unit during the weekend.
Support implementation and monitoring of individualized plans of care.
Review changes in condition and help ensure timely clinical follow-up.
Coach, support, and provide direction to nursing partners on the unit.
Monitor documentation, medication and treatment practices, and compliance with nursing standards.
Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, interdisciplinary team members, patients, residents, and families.
Support staffing, workflow, quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness activities.
Assist with maintaining continuity of care and effective communication throughout the weekend.
Promote a culture of compassionate care, teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
