About The Position

Elderwood is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to lead an assigned nursing unit in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. This hands-on leadership role is suited to an RN experienced in long-term care who can lead nursing teams, support staff with varying experience levels, and promote consistency, accountability, and quality care. The Unit Manager provides 24-hour oversight and accountability for the assigned unit and works primarily on a generally day-shift schedule, with flexibility based on facility and unit needs. The role combines team leadership, clinical oversight, resident care, communication, and unit operations. The Unit Manager supervises and develops nursing staff, with a particular focus on CNA support and performance; oversees resident care planning and clinical indicators; and promotes strong documentation, infection control, and regulatory compliance. The manager also communicates with families and providers, responds to concerns, and manages staffing and scheduling needs. Facility clinical teams are supported by Elderwood Administrative Services, including organization-wide clinical leadership from the Chief Nursing Officer and guidance from an assigned Regional Nurse Consultant. Nurses showing strong performance and leadership potential may be considered for future development opportunities, including Widener University’s 12-week Director of Nursing Leadership Academy.
