About The Position

This role is ideal for nurses with charge nurse or supervisory experience who are looking to transition into a structured leadership position focused on team development, clinical quality, and relationship-based resident care. The Unit Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for the nursing care of all residents on the assigned long-term care unit while providing daily leadership and guidance to licensed nurses and nursing personnel. This position oversees the delivery of care and manages the unit in accordance with company philosophy, professional nursing standards, and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Indiana RN License or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff (Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence).

Nice To Haves

Charge nurse or supervisory experience.
Willingness and desire to learn proper approaches to managing staff.

Responsibilities

Assume responsibility and accountability for the nursing care of all residents on the assigned long-term care unit.
Provide daily leadership and guidance to licensed nurses and nursing personnel.
Oversee the delivery of care and manage the unit in accordance with company philosophy, professional nursing standards, and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
Manage staff, with a passion for teaching, leading, and mentoring staff.
Use clinical knowledge to exceed the needs of residents, resident families, and staff.
Promote communication and interdisciplinary approaches to resident care.
