About The Position

The RN Unit Manager is the Clinical Care Coordinator responsible for the oversight of an assigned unit within the center’s 24-hour operation. This role ensures consistent and quality clinical care for all residents. The position empowers the individual to assess needs, implement care using the latest technology, and collaborate within a strong interdisciplinary team. The role is a management position and is full-time.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
At least 2 years of related experience.
Current RN State of Michigan License.
Current CPR certification.
A high level of analytical abilities in order to prepare resident care plans, implement effective nursing care, and develop solutions to difficult problems concerning residents' mental and physical well-being.
Good leadership skills.
Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
Team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support team members and get the job done.

Responsibilities

Oversight of an assigned unit within the center’s 24-hour operation.
Ensuring consistent and quality clinical care for all residents.
Assessing the needs and implementing care as deemed necessary.
Promoting hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, their families, and visitors.
Promoting a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive through kind words and encouragement.
Conducting regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
Instructing the team regarding the skilled care process and functioning as a resource person for clinical issues.
Ensuring the completion of requested reports, i.e., infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management, etc.
Supervising the nursing team including giving direction & assignments, offering training, and contributing to recognition and evaluations.
