About The Position

As a Unit Handler, you play a big part on the production line, ensuring transmissions are moved promptly and carefully from the builder's workstation to the dyno testing area. This is an important step in the remanufacturing process of transmissions and to all our customers. Your day will be spent moving transmissions, organizing the dyno work area, and assisting the Dyno Operator & Packager, following our processes and procedures. You must work efficiently, interact with, and help other team members to ensure daily demands are met and processes run smoothly on the production line.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old.
• Detail oriented.
• Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and will have to work with chemicals.
• Skill and ability of working with your hands, hand tools (must provide your own) and other instruments.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day.
• Ability to work under pressure at times.
• Have a Can-Do Attitude.
• Good time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical ability a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move transmissions, assist in draining units, getting shipping pods, and cleaning units after dyno testing.
• Help prepare transmissions for shipment, prep units for dyno testing, inform supervisor of all issues.
• Ensure all parts, packaging goods, paperwork and instructions are well stocked in the dyno area.
• Keep an even work flow, follow process and procedures, sweep and mop job area throughout the day.
• Suggest improvements, help train new personnel and work overtime when needed.
• Follow directions from the dyno operator, packager, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily.
