Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Good telephone skills
Ability to assist others in a courteous manner, following up on the caller's needs.
Ability to process proper forms, schedule procedures, input and work on the CRT, and coordinate the desk area of the patient care unit.

Responsibilities

Greeting and directing patients, visitors and physicians upon their arrival to the department.
Processing proper forms, scheduling procedures, inputting and working on the CRT, and coordinating the desk area of the patient care unit.
Performing various off unit activities, attending staff meetings, checking routine supplies and equipment and coordinating the repair and maintenance of equipment.
Order entry via the CRT for all physician's orders on patients.
General office duties for the unit.
Phone coordination.
Conveying overall outstanding customer service.
