About The Position

Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a full time Unit Coordinator RN (Registered Nurse) in our Main Operating Room. The Operating Room has 12 operating rooms and one procedural room. Up to 60% of our cases are total joints with the remaining cases being general, robotics, GYN, urology, plastics, vascular. The Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 months of relevant nursing experience is required.
BSN is required.
