Unit Coordinator/Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - Main Operating Room
About The Position
Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a full time Unit Coordinator RN (Registered Nurse) in our Main Operating Room. The Operating Room has 12 operating rooms and one procedural room. Up to 60% of our cases are total joints with the remaining cases being general, robotics, GYN, urology, plastics, vascular. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a rotating shift. A minimum of 18 months of relevant nursing experience is required, and a BSN is required. The Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, they lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on and simplify workflow, and contribute to the development of staff. The role aims to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
