Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent

Responsibilities

Ensuring the Maternal Fetal Medicine unit runs efficiently.
Providing secretarial support for all employees within an assigned nursing unit.
Demonstrate positive interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, other hospital departments, and unit staff.
Coordinate with Care Management concerning admissions, transfers, and discharges, and notify the hospitalist if needed.
Maintains and updates patients' records for a given unit.
Perform a variety of general clerical and non-clinical patient duties and facilitate communication.
Expedite interdepartmental services and comply with and keep records required on the nursing unit.
Assist the nursing staff in coordinating the activities of the unit.
Assist with patient care/quality assurance audits.
