About The Position

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is a 560-bed teaching hospital recognized by IBM Watson as a Top 100 Hospital and #1 Teaching Hospital. Trinity Health is a leading Catholic health care system operating in 22 states. The Labor and Delivery department is a 24-hour inpatient unit with 12 Labor-Delivery-Recovery suites, 4 Perinatal suites, 6 Antepartum suites, 3 Operating suites, a 4-bed recovery room, and a 7-station triage area. This department provides comprehensive perinatal care. The Unit Clerk role supports patients, visitors, and colleagues on assigned nursing units, facilitating efficient patient throughput (admissions, discharges, transfers), and supporting patient experience and safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, and maintaining the unit's appearance and environment of care. This role also provides reception-type services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three to six months previous related experience

Responsibilities

• Provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units.
• Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care.
• Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.
