Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Good telephone skills
Ability to assist others in a courteous manner
Ability to process proper forms
Ability to schedule procedures
Ability to input and work on the CRT
Ability to coordinate the desk area of the patient care unit

Responsibilities

Greeting and directing patients, visitors and physicians upon their arrival to the department.
Processing proper forms, scheduling procedures, inputting and working on the CRT, and coordinating the desk area of the patient care unit.
Performing various off unit activities, attending staff meetings, checking routine supplies and equipment and coordinating the repair and maintenance of equipment.
Order entry via the CRT for all physician's orders on patients.
General office duties for the unit.
Phone coordination and conveying overall outstanding customer service.
