Requirements

0-2 years of previous experience in medical records.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to understand and follow applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in record-keeping.
Knowledge of nursing/medical practices and procedures.
Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare settings.
Knowledge of ICD coding.
Experience with Point Click Care or similar electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinating transportation and scheduling appointments for residents/patients, ensuring timely communication, documentation, and follow-up as needed.
Assisting with the management and maintenance of patient and resident medical records.
Ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant with all healthcare regulations and policies.
Organizing and filing medical documents in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval.
Assisting with data entry and updating of medical charts, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate information is recorded.
Helping prepare medical records for audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
