About The Position

The Unit Clerk - Sr. Consumer Recovery Specialist oversees unit Mental Health Technicians and contributes to the treatment team by developing and maintaining supportive relationships with consumers to address their strengths, goals, and barriers to recovery. The role includes monitoring progress toward treatment goals, de-escalation activities, participating in recovery, wellness, and social skills groups, and developing and managing other group activities. The position is based in the Nursing Department at the Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH), a psychiatric hospital providing evidence-based, patient-centered care in a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. TCBH serves medically stable adults aged 18 and older experiencing a mental health crisis, with or without co-occurring substance use disorders.

Requirements

An associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Willingness and ability to fulfill job-related travel normally associated with the position.
A valid driver’s license.
Upon a conditional offer, pass a physical examination that includes being able to occasionally lift or carry 50 pounds and push or pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
For safety-sensitive positions, submit to pre-employment urinalysis and receive a negative drug test result.

Participation in the DMHSAS-sponsored Consumer Recovery Specialist certificate program may be preferred.
