About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Unit Clerk/Patient Care Assistant (UC/PCA) to join their MedSurg Department at the Ontario location. The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of an RN or LPN/LVN. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities, providing personal care and comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment for assigned patients.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- Current Certification as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or applicable work-related experience working as a nursing assistant.
- Previous experience working as a nursing assistant.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living.
- Provides for personal care and comfort.
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group or patients.
