About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a Unit Clerk/Patient Care Assistant (UC/PCA) for the MedSurg Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The position provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of an RN or LPN/LVN. The UC/PCA assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care, promotes patient comfort, and helps maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients. The schedule is 1830–0700, with 48 hours per pay period.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification, or obtain it within 30 days of the hire date.

Nice To Haves

• Current State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification or applicable work-related experience as a nursing assistant.
• Previous experience working as a nursing assistant.
